Recon ride day

S’gonna hurt – the road race that is.

We went out and did a reconnaissance ride of the USAC Collegiate Nationals road race course.  We rode in the area a little before heading to the course, which was about 45 minutes away from our hotel.  The finishing climb goes to the top of Blue Mound (you can see the course here).  Word on the street (aka Collegiate Cycling’s Jeffrey Hansen) was that the climb each lap was as painful as the Army Hill Climb Time Trial…each lap.  I really don’t think it’s as bad as that bad, but we’ll see how it goes tomorrow.  All I know is it’s going to be fast

We had a fantastic dinner at this nice Italian place with everyone after checking with USAC.  Let’s just get to some pictures, as I’m tired, and we’re getting to bed early.
